Mickey McGlynn is the Senior Vice President for Provider Engagement & Implementation at Gemini Health where she leads all engagement efforts with health systems and provider groups including marketing, implementation, outcomes achievement across the United States. Gemini Health provides drug and alternative cost information to prescribers to lower drug and administrative costs for patients, providers and payers. On behalf of Gemini’s payer clients, Mickey oversees the efforts to engage health systems about the value of the Gemini Services and the opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies. She leads efforts to implement the Gemini Services and ensure the expected benefits are achieved. She is also responsible for all provider-facing efforts ensuring that our solutions are designed and delivered to best meet the needs of the clinician users.
Prior to joining Gemini Health, Mickey was with Siemens Medical Solutions, Health Services (acquired by Cerner in 2015) and was responsible for Portfolio Strategy, Operations and Population Health. She led the cross-company effort, in collaboration with customers and industry partners to develop the Accountable Care strategy for the Siemens HIT business and led the efforts to execute the strategy and associated road map. This strategy included support for Health Reform including the shift to new care models and reimbursement methods in support of patient-centric care. She is an expert in these initiatives and worked closely with providers to fully understand their requirements and identify the IT implications.
Mickey has over 30 years of health IT experience having held leadership roles in health IT business strategy, product management, solution design, software development, professional services, sales support, marketing, operations and government affairs. She has a successful track record of working collaboratively with a broad set of diverse stakeholders across the industry and including the federal government.
McGlynn, a HIMSS Fellow, has served on the HIMSS Nominating Committee and the HIT Policy Committee, Health IT Implementation, Usability and Safety Workgroup and various other cross-industry efforts. She was elected and served as the Chairperson for the HIMSS EHR Association, the trade association for Electronic Health Record vendors, from 2012 through 2014 and served as a member of the Executive Committee from 2008 through 2014.
